I feel fortunate everyday to have the group of designers pictured above working at Harrison’s.  They each have their own style, but as with any good designer can pivot and work with any style the customer wishes.  However, it is the job of a designer to present their client with ideas that they would not have thought of on their own.  So I hope you will come into the design process with an open mind and see where the process takes you.

Kevin Harrison

As owner of Harrison’s, I feel very lucky to have a very cohesive team of designers who love what they do and make my business shine.

I spent the first half of my career in Chicago doing commercial interiors, and continue to maintain my Illinois interior design license.

My personal style tends toward traditional, however as I grow older I am becoming more contemporary.

Mary has been with Harrison’s since its beginning.  I can’t imagine the business without Mary.

Mary has an interior design degree from Wayne State, and is our nature focused designer.  Mary loves to bring the outdoors into everyone of her projects.  From nature inspired artwork, to a bird mobile – Mary looks to nature as inspiration.

Sue started with Harrison’s as an intern, and we didn’t let her leave.  Sue is a very detail oriented designer, and her projects move along with precision.

Sue is also our glamour designer, she like a bit of bling in every interior.  Sue lives on a lake and loves watery colors for her spaces.

Mel comes to design via the world of fine art.  Mel owned her own art gallery in Birmingham and then Royal Oak prior to joining Harrison’s.  Mel’s clients often asked her to help them with the rooms in which she was placing artwork, so the move to interiors was very natural.

Mel’s projects often incorporate some contemporary elements.

Kate is our Studio Manager, and is the glue that holds the rest of us together. Kate is often the first person you will see when entering the shop, and always puts our best collective foot forward.

Kate has an interior design degree from Wayne State, and tends toward the bohemian aesthetic.
